Rfh
Putting a ta in my 706 and was rebuilding the mcv and it had no brake check valve or spring. Also the inner spring in the pressure regulator valve was missing. The tractor would get hard of steering throughout the day.
rfh129
I found a spare MCV and it had the plastic brake check valve. So I will have it now. What ever it does

Original pressure in 706 was somewhere around 180 psi. Probably didn't have inner spring. Don't remember for sure. Check your pressure.

Another trick popular years ago , guys would plug the hole and leave check valve out.
snoshoe
Brake check valve is in top of mcv. Will not affect steering in anyway. Plugging it would mean loss of brakes. Steering check valve is in center section behind bottom of mvc. Which were you missing?
