Afraid they were mostly all off color. When I was old enough to run in the field jd730 did the heavy work and a pair of old jd b and a 60 did the hay and cultivator.

As a grown man 8000 ford. 1100 mf and 165mf for chores the last combine was a 550 massey

The last farm toy IH td7c dozer

I am so happy it is gone I forgot the biggest piece of garbage ever owned had a MF2745 for about 7 years.

Everything is still here and working on second or third hour meters

Well as for us we have always had all IH red no other foreign colors. I will start with Dad's stuff as that is the farm that has become ours now. First was 656 gas, H and a SMTA. Then added a SH and a Cub. Next was an 826. We still have all these tractors. Next was a BS1066 that only stayed a few months and was traded for a new 1486 which I still have as well. Next was 1568, another 826, another H, SM, 856, 400 diesel, another 1486, another 1568, 1256, 1456, 1466, another 1466 and a 656 diesel. Then our farm relocated and not all of these moved. Next was a 4586, then 6588 both of which have left. Since then there have been several 66's that have come and gone. Currently our lineup is 5288 AWD, 1486, 1486, 1466, 1466, 1466, 1466, 1466, 1568, 1566, 1456, 826, 400 diesel and a DX26 if I didn't miss any. The combines were a 203, 303 then a 915 low, added another 915 low, added another 915 low and then the 1680 and another 915 low. We had three 915's and the 1680 all at the same time. We currently have the same 1680 and one low pro 915.

Your choice. I’ve been catching up on book work all day and feeling a bit lousy too. I figured any kind of tractor/farm talk would end the day on a good note.

This could be a long one, I've been around a lot of tractors. For the sake of this website I'll just go with the tractors that my immediate family owned in my lifetime.

When I came into the picture, dad was still a full time dairy farmer. He had a 2020, 3020, and a 4020. The 3020 was traded on a new 4240. That tractor didn't stay long, dad didn't like the 8 speed powershift and a short kept draining the batteries. The 4240 was traded for a hydro 186, I was really young when that deal went through but I still remember going with dad to test drive it. The 186 was the first tractor I drove. Later dad wanted a four wheel drive so the 2020 and 4020 went down the road on trade for a iseki white 2-55 with a loader. I drove that tractor a lot also. After dad sold the farm and equipment, he bought a 3020 with a loader, he only had that tractor for a couple years.

I currently own an allis Chalmers d-15 and a John Deere mt that was owned by my grandfather.

My one Grandpa stopped farming in 1981 and had a John Deere G, 3010, B and Ford 2000.  We have all 3 of the John Deeres now.

My other Grandpa stopped farming in the mid 1990s and had a MM G1050 lp, a M670 super lp and an Oliver 1450 and 1550.  Combine was a 715.  My uncle started farming and bought the 1456 a 1066 and eventually sold us the 1456.  He bought a 1586 and used a 1420 combine.

I restarted the family farm in 2013 with the 1456 that had been my uncles and a John Deere 7700 combine.  We sold the 7700 for a 1460 in 2015.  Just last year I purchased the 1086 when we added our 2nd farm.

I was able to buy my Father in laws M5 Moline which was the last tractor left from his farm and my Grandpas 1550 Oliver which was the last from his.

I'll see if I can hit it back to when my grandpa started with tractors.  W4, H, M, 560, 660, 856, 3788, CIH 4494, 1486, NH 8770A, bs 766, AC 160, 4166, 3788, Hydro 100, 1486. Up to the 660 was my grandpa's tractors, and 856 on is all dads. All but the H, and NH are still here. M is a non runner, 560 needs work, 660 and 856 are parted out. 2nd 3788 was my first auction win. Felt good driving it home from the sale. Sadly its parts now after it burnt

Now combines. Case Threshing machine here. Not sure the history on it. Grandpa had a 460 Case pt, then dad started with 914, then 914, 1482, 1482, JD 6601, 914, 1482, 1682, MF 8460. All are here except the JD. Currently have 1 914, 1 1482, 1 1682, MF running.  Rest are parts, 1 1482 is running but wore right out

I guess we like our red paint around here. And don't like selling anything lol.

Not a long list.  Farmall M was our main field tractor when I was growing up.  Ford NAA for utility duty.  656 gas joined the team in my early teens.  It was later replaced by an 856 diesel which in turn gave way to a 986.   Harvest duties were handled by a IH 101 until we wore that out.  Then a 715 and finally a 1460.

Dad tells the story of two of my uncles renting a farm from a man who was retiring but to get the farm they had to buy his tractor, they didn't have the money for it so grandpa, who had only farmed with horses, bought the tractor, a Farmall Regular. That was the first tractor in the family, It didn't last long and was replaced by an Oliver 70. When Dad started on his own it was with an Oliver 77, then Oliver 88 diesel, 1600, Farmall 656, 966, Oliver 1755, JD 2030, IH 1066, 574, 1086, another 1086, 885, 7110, 5140, MX 120, MX210. When I started I bought a 1066 and  I have since bought the 7110, MX 210, a 7140, and a NH T7-235. Whew, I think I got them all in the right order, wish some of them were still here. No combines but forage harvesters through the years were JD38, 3800, 5400 self propelled, then 5720, NH1915, FX30, FR9060, and currently an FR650.

Start with dad first tractor was a 43 H he bought in 1948 then another H think is a 50 then he bought a new 350 in 56 then a 350 diesel around 76 that got traded for a 706 diesel in 79 and that got traded for 966 in 83 then traded for 1086 and that one and 50 H and 350 my brother has yet

dads combines were a 64 and 2- 80s and we ran all 3

mine started with my dads 43 H then 460 diesel then 1066 and a 986 tri stripe  and I also have 1066 with bad motor a 706 gas bad motor and found my dads  706 diesel and it doesn’t run and I have them all yet

combines started with a 615 gas hydro sold that and now 81 1460

Grandpa and my dad in his youth farmed with a 9N,JD B, and a 30 and 44 MH. After the tornado in December of 1964. My grandpa traded the MH 44 for new MF 135, plows, Massey 10 baler, sickle bar mower. That fall her purchase the IH 806G. They picked corn with the A and 227 mounted picker. Or put the shelter attachment on for shelling. To cut beans and wheat they used an AC 66 all crop. Around 1970 grandpa bought a MF 510 combine with both heads. Grandpa use to tell the story about my dad at 13 years old buying a JD 730G to use under the corn picker. In 1976 dad bought his BS 1066 and disc and grandpa traded the 9N in on a MF 275. All these tractors are still on the farm. Dad said he bought the 1486 in the fall of 1979 before the IH dealership close the next year. The late 80's dad replaced the MF 510 with JD 7720. Then 1995 dad purchase his CaseIH 7250. Then in the spring of 1999 he bought the 8950. These are the main tillage and planting tractors still used. Dad later bought the 656G hydro and our 1466 that is our puller. The summer of 2006 we got our 2388 RWA combine. In 2011 I got my 856D and 2018 my 656G was purchase. Dad also has IH 450, M, SM with a MW hand clutch, AC WD45, Oliver S88.
