Mogulman
Summer seems to slip away quickly and projects get slowed. The rollers axles are taking shape. Should be getting the feet back on the old beast before Christmas…not going to say what year though. 3

Seems like less and less time for play stuff every year. As always looking good.
Mogulman
First roller assembled. Decided after much back and forth that the 4140 shafts are going to outlast most of us since the crawler will only see very occasional use. So, not hardening them.

Mogulman
Machinist finally got a day…and poof the engine is together and in place. Had to gap every ring, but all bearings and such fit the freshly ground crank properly. However, as the assembly took place, found a tube sitting beside the valve train…what was it for? Oh! Wait now we remember, the drain tube for the filter into the crankcase…dang, off came the oil pan and everything put back in place! Once the new clutch shaft is in and the lid put back on, this chunk can be painted and assembly of the rails etc can commence.

Mogulman
Small steps seem to make a big difference. Sheet metal is beginning to be installed. Fenders still need some tweaking, so they will be a bit yet.

Mogulman
This the vision that remained of the original decals on the back of the tank and then the new decals in place. We had all the decals made for this and the sides since the original font was different than what was in the decal kit we bought.
hardtail
What year was it, cool on remaking the decals, that must be an early one for those style?

That was 1948.
poor farmer/logger
Should start to take shape pretty quick now that the big stuff is done and out of the way. Shines up real nice. Spring time competition maybe?

DWF
Okay, that makes sense. That never crossed my mind. It must have been more for ag tractors. Where I came from TD-6's were the most popular, but a few T6's too. I never saw a T6 with that option, but most in our area were used for logging and mostly winter use. You sure have done great work!
