Deer hunting was so so but

Recommended Posts

Pulled two average whitetails and a nice muley off the place.

Son found this piece of a leg bone (?) Thought it was kinda cool. Imagine back to the time this critter drank out of the Niobrara river

Very cool !  A friend of mine and his son found a significant part of a mastadon skull several years ago while hiking in south Missouri. Of course the state wanted it and eventually got it but not until my friend grew tired of fighting,

Not really, there have been a complete camel and I think Tyranasaur found fairly close by. Found the right side half of a giant bison skull. Found a really big turtle coming out of the side of a cliff that had been there quite awhile.

Son also found a human skull long time ago when we were fencing Medicine Creek. A local anthropologist dated her at about 5000 years old.

Me, knowing absolutely Jack Schmidt about the subject and never getting caught in the trap of guessing a woman's age, just said "wow, ok". 😃

The true definition of blowback equal in guns and certain spousal comments both deadly

Found this in the Niobrara on a tube trip bout a mile from home.

Always thought it was a saber tooth tiger tooth until I visited Morrill Hall in Lincoln

It is a miniature elephant tusk
