Killer Red Mater 69
Calling on the experts. What’s it worth? Lots of variables I know but looking ballpark. Got a friend looking to buy it and I’ve never been around one
hobbyfarm 442
Call me nuts. $7500.00 as it sits with the weights and canopy. If it is under 1000 hours more. Of course I'm used to Pennsylvania prices.

12_Guy 1,020
Not sure what it's worth. Probably as suggested above. I know that I would like to have it. It looks sweet.
ny bill o 1,093
I stumbled across this one in 2015. They were asking 18K. I was considering it, and it sold before I could say yes. Take off the loader and 4wd, add the weights and bar axles, still have $9-10K compared to new stuff. Your hours may vary.
TomH 1,616
The 584 is a great little tractor, What are the hours? I would agree with $7500.00 with hours under 4K. If hours under 2K than $8500+.
TP from Central PA 3,170
I would need more info, but from the looks of that, I would think these guys above are light on the the price IMO. Clearly never had a loader on it, so I bet that is tighter than a drum.
IH Forever 413
I've never been on an 84 series tractor. But Bill posted a picture of the H pattern shifter. Didn't the later 84 series with the tri-stripe decal have different shift patter than the earlier tractors? Maybe I'm dreaming but I thought there was some sort of improvement on the later years. My 784 has the H pattern. My brother's 784 has the zig-zag shifter. Dunno which came first. I like mine better, ala 06 vs 56 shifting. Go from 1 to 4 w/o messing with 2 and 3. 12_Guy 1,020
The H camp later. The lightening bolt pattern was a hold over from the 74 series 574,674,464 etc. The H pattern is better IMO especially on the range transmission.

The old pattern would be sloppy in neutral
J-Mech 1,262
I've been watching a lot of 84 series tractors here lately when I was looking for one. Settled on that 284 I bought, but I'd still like to have one of the larger tractors. Anyway, prices are all over the board. Cheapest around $4500 up to and over $10k depending on who is selling it. From what I've seen over the last year or so, $6000-$8000 is about what that 584 would bring even given its good condition. There's always the gold diggers who want more. It's a 40 year old tractor.
