IHhogfarmer
Yea I would vote to leave the cab on I think their neat especially with the black stripe, makes the options stand out with more character for the tractor imo. That’s quite the dealer sticker on your 100. I haven’t seen one that large I don’t think. Your making it look good?
bkorth
66 series tractors with factory cabs did not have grab handles, to me it would just be something to bump your leg on when getting in and the holes in the hood for them were covered up by the cowl cover. The metal cover under the seat was replaced by a formed rubber cover on factory cabs, it actually goes under the seat suspension and forms around all three sides and the floor mat goes over the top of it, likely unavailable. stronger800
X2. (Other than there are no dedicated grab handle holes. They just bolt at the normal hood bolt locations, so it’s not like Not having a handle installed left an ugly hole exposed) (I think). I understand what you are saying regarding the rubber cover under the seat suspension. Fehr cab interiors shows that cover new. Replacing all the cab interior is going to be expensive! stronger800
The fehr door seal and window gaskets, along with the one that seals over the hood, are all very nice. The side panel/fender foam pieces require some finesse to get them to lay flat. Head liner panel is good. Cowl cover and floor mat though though..... pretty thin, but fit decent
nepoweshiekfarmalls
I believe that finding a floor mat as thick as the original is impossible. That is an issue for all makes of tractors. Have you had any experience with the rubber cover under the seat suspension that covers the hydraulic assembly?
nepoweshiekfarmalls
Yesterday, I completed some maintenance on the 100. Changed oil and oil filters. Even drained the quart of oil out of the oil cooler! Swapped out the fuel filters and water filter. Added Stanadyne fuel treatment to the diesel fuel. Installed the alternator guard.
nepoweshiekfarmalls
Not quite 18 quarts!
nepoweshiekfarmalls
Fixed a broken wire to the pyrometer. It still does not work. ? Re routed the pyrometer wire to a better location and positioned the A/C lines so they did not rub on the hood and the capillary for the ether assist. Today, work on the dent on the rear of the cab and tackle those hydraulic lines that are in the way of the 3 point.
Tonyinca
You are making me want another tractor project ! Look out these old girls have a way of taking over your thoughts , time, and money ! However , they are so gratifying when applying TLC that it becomes addictive and very enjoyable to the point they take over your life to a point ! Lol lol Don't ask how I know ! Lol you are on your way with a fine looking make and model , congratulations on being in Black Stripe Cub , something I have not accomplished yet. tony
stronger800
That should have 20 quarts of oil in it like a 10/1466 right? I feel like I never get that much back out of any of ours either. Post a pic of alternator cover please. I still need to get like five of those. ( I would re-index the back half of that alternator so the wires are tucked up under the hood.) Anybody have one or five of those covers they’d want to sell? Just noticed the engine tag. SRC reman? Maybe you mentioned it before, I did not go back and read the entire thread. but I didn’t go back through and look at the pictures. Because I like pictures of tractors with red cabs! nepoweshiekfarmalls
Today I removed the grecian valve and the spaghetti of hydraulic lines. Lubricated the seat adjustment linkage and positioned the seat for my legs. Installed the missing track and position stop on the 3 point quadrant. Straightened out the rear of the cab and fenders. Installed a reflector on the LH corner of the cab. Installed a PTO shield. Installed 2 handles on the dash. Phone battery died before I could take photos of all my progress. Here are the lines I removed and a shot of the alternator guard for Stronger 800. My owners manual says 18 quarts. That's what I poured in, but the dipstick shows over full when i checked it cold.

DT Fan
Thanks, headed to the farm. I'll have a look at the 10, not sure if it has one or not.
nate
Looks good Aaron. Little by little. It all takes time! And of course some coin!
nepoweshiekfarmalls
Here is a view of the rear end. Looks way nicer with the back wall and fenders straightened. No more hydraulic lines hanging on the hitch! The PTO shield looks good. I should replace the SMV sign. Also need to replace the broken crank handle and the wishbone on the three point. And those poor broken windows.....
nepoweshiekfarmalls
The new handles look great! The LH one makes steadying myself easier when I pull my prosthetic leg into the cab. The hydraulics are much happier now that they are not deadheading on that power beyond circuit. I checked the air in the tires this evening. To my amazement, they have fluid in them! The rims are in really good shape, so that is a shock. Still would like to add some rear wheel weights. Have several 1000 bushels of grain to haul, starting April 1. Plan to use the 100 on the auger to give it something to do.?

nepoweshiekfarmalls
It was cold on the fingers tonight, so I cut my time outdoors short. Installed a 3 point crank handle and SMV emblem on the rear. The sparrow was back in the cab again tonight, but escaped out the hole for the brake pedals when I started up the ladder. So, I wadded plastic bags in the pedal holes as a deterrent. Tomorrow, the 100 goes on the auger for some mild exercise.
nepoweshiekfarmalls
The Hydro 100 had its first day on the job today, loading out corn. That entire bin has to be delivered this month. Dad grumbled a little about climbing into the cab, but he indulged me! ?
stronger800
Congrats. I’m assuming it had enough hp to handle that?
