756puller
Whats all required to do to put a transmission input shaft seal on an H? I know that i need to split it. Can i remove the clutch output shaft and access the seal that way?
snoshoe
No need to split if you don't mind dirt in the face. Belly pump and clutch come out the bottom. Then you can either remove input shaft assy. Or just drive flange and seal. I prefer the assembly. Lets you check out more and easier to work on bench. 756puller
Got to be split any ways a bolt that holds the release bearing carrier came out so the clutch release shaft just sits there and shakes.
GT&T
756 Puller What snoshoe said right on. I hope you are doing well. You should be able to replace the bolt in the release bearing as well, without splitting the tractor.
snoshoe
You have to unbolt that carrier to drop clutch any way. Splitting not needed. Some people do it anyway. Avoid some of the dirt in face. Choice is yours.
