No need to split if you don't mind dirt in the face. Belly pump and clutch come out the bottom. Then you can either remove input shaft assy. Or just drive flange and seal. I prefer the assembly. Lets you check out more and easier to work on bench.

PS    I just read your 2nd. post.   You should be able to replace the bolt in the release bearing as well,  without splitting the tractor.
