Another Strange Hydro 100

Recommended Posts

A while back there was a hydro 100 with strange controls. Levers for steering etc. This one has a backhoe on it and is an Industrial with MFD. About a half hour from me.

This 1486 is from the same owner. Read the description. "Engine modified for higher HP and speeds of 32 MPH" 😃

The steering better be good and tight at that speed!

Was that an IH attempt at making a large 4x4 backhoe?

Funny they went with a bull dozer style loader that doesn't look to lift too high.

That is an odd one that needs to be resurrected.

Would be nice to know how many were made.

Bet it was dang few!

That is an interesting tractor. The seat turns around and I see nothing under it. I think it's factory or at least a prototype. That hoe looks to have a long reach.

Alot of other oddities in his auction.

Thx-Ace

This one sold yesterday in central PA. I didn't look at it but had saved it on the watch list out of curiosity

Hmmmm, wonder if the guy who spent 10k on that was wearing his glasses........I walked by it and both rear centers were cracked quite a bit, recent DuPont rebuild was hiding them well.  Didn't look anymore, kept walking.

No worries!  Just bolt on a wheel weight to hold the pieces together!  😁

I love it!  A Hydro 70 on bone shakers is definitely a "hat special".
