Super M Behlen Power Steering

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if I can run one of these lines to the rear as a remote?  Looking at it, it appears they have running to the reservoir and not sure if this setup can be altered or if it would need to be left alone?  Don’t need a remote for any purpose but it would be nice to have.  Thanks!

That has live hydraulic pump and you will want to run a remote off that. The behlen pump only makes around 300 psi I think

If you only need single acting remote. There are three 1/2" pipe plugs on the hydraulic unit. Two on left one on right. Any one would run single acting remote. Rear left may or may not have a delayed drop in it. Double acting requires a double acting valve plumbed in.

You need to add a priority flow control valve and a "Christmas tree valve". The pfcv will provide constant hyd flow to the power steering unit and thexmas valve will give you 2-way hyds

Can't use Behlen pump. It has built in flow divider and only puts out enough for steering. A double acting valve simply needs to be tee'd in to the live pump. Single acting is already there. Just need hose and coupler.
