370 Disc Harrow

Picked this up today from a gentleman that bought it in 1972. It was sold new in 1971 and traded in for a larger disc.
It’s been shed kept and well greased. New front blades and bearings and new bearings in rear. I’m very very pleased. I’d been looking for a 10’ but this 8 + - came up. Drove 355 miles to get it. I just couldn’t find one locally unless it was junk.
I had a 12’ #37 that was a heap. I sold it early spring. Needed a disc to prepare some property I bought for hay. This should be a great fit for the M and it’ll take up less shed space.
I think it’s cool that International and the IH logo is still intact. Took some pics just after loading. Got it home and now gotta get it unloaded and shined up ?

Just found us a 10 ft 370. It needed blades and bearings. Will pull it behind a SM or a SW6

Got the blades(nichols) from our CIH dealer, they were $6.00/blade cheaper. Bearings were about the same

Looks good, won't use ours until crops are finished. Will disk then seed waterways

Looks like it is set on the smallest angle for finishing.  In hard ground it might be good to set it agressive.

Set it like that just to load it. It’s angled correctly now.
Couldn’t stand it..... gave it a bath. Paint is surprisingly decent for its age. Barely got things put away before a Thunderstorm rolled thru. Still need more rain to penetrate our hardpan. I’m like a kid with a new toy!! I miss farming some days. Messing with this old stuff brings back enough memories to satisfy me.
