Td9 intake manifold removal

Recommended Posts

I’m having trouble keeping gas engine running.  I would like to make sure the flipper thingy is working correctly by taking off the intake and inspecting it.   It looks straight forward.  Are there any tricks or suggestions that u have

It was pretty straight forward on my Super MD.  You would probably get better answers if you posted in the Construction forum.

Squirt some penetrating oil on the butterfly shaft and take a small vice grip turn the shaft back and forth, the shaft should overcenter to closed position when in gas mode.

3 things the chock linkage, the float control rod and the fuel line to carb It is harder to get the cotter pins out and linkage free than taking off manifold.

It is easier to remove it all as a unit with carb on it.
