I'm Tired of Negativity! Picture Time

Recommended Posts

Kenny chesney explained to me why you guys have so many tractors, the chicks dig'em,

She thinks my tractors sexy,

It really turns her on,

She's always starin' at me,

While I'm chuggin' along.

I'll get ahold a couple of old guys here and we'll be chick magnets, Clooney and Pitt, hah, screw'em.

806 man, we had a picture here of 5 hard hose travelers all lined up(tomatoes and seed corn)  but yours blows that one away.  Those sure look like some big hard hoses on those?  Everyone around me bought Hobbs, although a Italian POS, and a AG Rain are here too.

At this point it would have been easier to put the duals on and run it as a flat. On my 3rd time trying to fix the flat. Last one held for a week. Never did move it 🤔🤔

Most are Water master made by Valley Fab Corp.. They are made 300 miles south in Brooks Oregon. Good guys, Great product which they stand behind..  I bought a 1800" traveler from them. One day I pulled it out started running it in came back a few hours later the center spool section structure failed from the hose wrapping around it so tight. The spool looked like an hour glass. I called the owner and told him what happened, he said "I've never had that happen" I said yeah ok, I need a new center section ASAP. He said it will be 2 days and be there at no cost, which I didn't expect since it  3-4 years old. Then he called the next day and asked if he could get $500 for delivery,  Of course I replied.  I had bought a couple of Bauer reels used them for 3-4 years, I wasn't to impressed with the turbines.  Another guy I knew had 2 water maters his guys struggled with the computers so we traded. Oh happy day!!

Probably why I have never seen one................Hobb's which is now Amadas, were built down on the shore here(Del-marva area) and were really popular here.  I have no idea what dealer that abortion came from because it was the only one around.  Had weird pipe fittings and everything.  The Ag Rain was nice, but was a former manure unit so had the stupid engine instead of a turbine, that was a pain dragging gas around and worrying that either the engine quit and the reel stopped moving, or the water quit and the reel kept going.  Although every function on it was hydraulic from the engine, vs everything manual on the Hobbs though.  At 2 in the morning in a dark field, that was kind of nice.

Here the word turbine will lower the value half.  All have engines.  Even though no one uses them for manure anymore.  Run ethanol free and 0 issues frankly.  Need hydros for leg down psi and turning heavy buggers anyways.  Infinite control for speed too.  You may have had Bauer from Austria.  Dealer here still sells em.  Odd fittings, odd tires, odd sprinkler,  only normal thing is honda engine.....  Only place for anything is dealer and $.  There is a Italian brand around too....same over thought things.  Cadman from CA....1 spud guy got 4 5 years ago and says needs 4 to keep 3 in fields so unreliable.

Worse is the MatterMacc comp controls...we have had issues with boards frying.  Every excuse from Italian manufacturer.  Lo volt, hi volt, static etc.  1400 each is nuts.....even had buddy who computer dork try getting parts.  Some odd capacitors they only make and use and wont sell.  But i wouldn't have one with out....you set it to be in at 5am...and it is.  Every day....no guessing and counting links or dia of hose mattering.   That being said....hose irrigation is a pain.  We dont have big enough fields to justify pivots, some years we only irrigate 6 weeks, not flat enough area to flood, the amt that evaps is sad with big gun.  All berries run tape now and 1 spud guy on some fields.  Says nice to do and does great job but $ to set up but easy to manage water.
