welding leaking diesel tank.

Any petroleum product can explode...  My dad lost a farming friend years ago to just that.  He was cutting the top off an empty 55 gallon drum of sae 30w when it exploded.  It burned the inside of the guys lungs out, he didn't last long.  BE CAREFUL!!!

I have 110 gal that has had a JB weld patch for 20 years still has never leaked again. Only takes once of thing going wrong to ruin your life forever.

Thanks for all the great info as usual. Sorry for being slow to get back but I got busy.

When i slow down I plan to try this. JBWELD the hole. Then weld a thin piece of angle iron along the bottom edges for reinforcement.

What ya think of that?
