I was saying parts are not as plentiful for those as normal tractors which goes to reason since they were not sold for many years if all you wanting is servicable parts you'll probably be ok but cosmetic parts will be much harder to find

I have many good communications as you can see and got much help about this machine, in 2 different threads here ......now I know that I can get some parts, and the hydros are not repairable, and sheet metal obviously can’t be ordered new....but the engine was used for a lot of Mitsubishi tractors and the Case IH models after the buyout, and per Pitt Auto Electric in PA the engine parts are available..... I wish you the best in future parts searches for your tractor I was only indicating that some parts are scarce on some of those models and I was stating facts on seeing those tractors in my area iH's parts are laughable at best for Old stuff I

I use it for grass cutting and rototilling .... works well and is really easy on fuel. I always really liked the 50 Series styling that they used for these..still looks really good today. Case introduced the 235, 245, 255 in 1986 - same tractor just different tin work. They looked like the 85 utility series. Some parts are still available through Case-IH. The serial number breakdown for the 244 is as follows: 1982....8001 1983....8460 1984....9089 1985....9716 Thank You! As I never exactly knew what year mine was! I always thought it was a 1983, I think mine is 87XX I need to check.

Eason
Ben, some Cub Cadet dealers might have engine parts for them. After CaseIH gave up the Mitisibushi tractors Cub Cadet sold them for a while.
