Free Money

According to the news, the government is going to send out thousand dollar checks just in time for my 71st birthday on April 6th.  Now I'm burdened with the problem of what to purchase with it.  Seed's paid for, taxes are paid, seems like a shame to use it to raise seven dollar soybeans or two something corn.  My firearm and ammo supply is probably sufficient, though I could use an H&R single shot in 22 so my wife could practice cheaper than burning up 44mag ammo. Any suggestions?  I'm thinking along the lines of some cheap beef if the markets tank further.  Or, I could hire some of the honey do projects around the house done, but she'll probably get a check to. One warning, If it's like the last one years ago, come tax time it's income, not a gift.

Propane today was $.96  And they said wait untill next month and it will be mid to lower 80’s .

I have enough to last all summer but I’m going to fill everything up when it gets that low .

Not a bad thing to use free money on .

Order a lot of takeout from restaurants or patronize other bizz's similarly affected by what this virus has caused.  Would be a good way to pass the handout along to others w/ greater need.

Your idea of hiring local people to tackle the honey do list is great. Keeps the money in your town. Don't let them in your house !! All jobs need to be outside. This is not the time to have guest, workers, or strangers in your home.

Spend it with small businesses my 2c that's what I'll do...i think the important thing is spend it.

That's what a college professor use to tell us. Want to stimulate the economy? "Don't sit on money! Spend! Spend!" He'd Shout!

This is something like a socialist thing isn't it or buying votes in a election year? Question both parties on this. Granddad always told me you can't buy your way out of dept. Dave

I paid $1.35 for propane today from my local supplier.  It was $1,014.33 for 719 gallons including tax ??

There was talk of capturing the money back of the backend.  If a citizens employment was at an essential business in that they contuminued to work uninterupted should they get the same stimulous that someone in the entertainment, hosopitality, restaurant business does?  If you didnt miss work do you have to give it back at tax time? Lots of unanswered questions...
