Friend bought this 1206 back in 2014. We worked on it and rebuilt it mechanically untill Fall of '18. Board member Eric Farley rebuilt the engine, installed New TA and rebuilt rear end. Sent the 1206

Mine are red under white. I cant remember what Butchs were. There was another local 1206 s/n 15### That had wedgelocks but never looked at casting code. It sold and went to LA. All three had long axles.

Ours has the regular axles we have owned it since 2002 or 3. Red paint under white on castings although a couple wedges red and one appears to be all white. I think ours was a North Dakota tractor a long time before we traded for it. Will have to ask previous owners one day the history of tractor. Traded a 1000 insurance deductible for tractor. Replaced a hoist and remounted box on a Chevy truck for insurance company ad owner had to pay  the deductible so we did a lot for these guys and they wanted to trade.

What brand of front tires does he use for his restorations? Is it always 1 brand like the rear Firestones? I got 4 different brands of new front tires on my 4 main tractors

What Brand  kind of paint does he use.  Base clear or single stage urethane. Definitely a work of art. The time it takes to do all the detail work would be huge. Then to reassemble tractor after all paint is finished. I would guess this is 20,000 paint job at least.

You do an excellent job. Should be very proud. That gives me something to strive for when I do our 1206 in a couple years.

Beautiful work! Just curious as to why a single stage for red and base/clear on white?

Mine has long axles, one more that use to be around had long axles. Long axles and wedgelocks were the new cool kids option and i bet very, very few rolled out with them from factory.
