Like you all I love knives, but my Randall is my fave.

Randall is iconic. Craftsmanship is amazing. Almost artwork in my opinion. I’ve got a Randall Woodsman that I’m not afraid to carry in the woods.

I purchased this one from a Local custom maker at a charity auction last year. All made in house at his shop south of town. It is “Feather Damascus”

This one is my go-to woods knife. It was a custom build I had a guy from Northern Indiana make. It’s stainless with a razor edge and micarta handle. Stainless pins.  The sheath is something I made

Here is the knife that was give to me for hitting my first thousand loads with the carrier I drive for. Said it came from a maker in Montana and the bone behind the bolster is supposed to be Mastadon?!?

Also, a very coveted bottle opener from a highly respected craftsman here on the forum?

  • 1 year later...

Anybody watch Forged in Fire last night.

Chris O'Brien was on.

When we lived down by Mullen, Ne. he was about 10 or 12 years old (43 now) and lived on the ranch with his parents about 5 miles west of me.

My son worked for his dad a while back and told me Chris was getting into knife making.

Well, he sure did and put on a great showing on FIF!

Just finished the episode. He really nailed it or “keeeeled” it in my best Doug Marcaida impression.

I went to university with a guy that built a garden tractor that would lift the front tires. He appeared on Forged In Fire in it's first season and won his episode. A few seasons later he again appeared on FIF Knife or Death as a Blade Specialist and would either allow or disallow a competitor's blade to be used depending on whether he felt the blade would stay together or come apart.

I guess I need to try and cut 1200 concrete blocks and take down a flying 747 with mine and see if it dulls... Just finished it last week

A cross draw, huh!

Horizontal carry on belt or even vertical on a backpack/life jacket strap possibly. Probably should have put the belt loop on opposite actually.
