Yeah, he`s still here.

Year and a half he has endured....me.

Kid`s got some moxie!

Told him we`re knocking off at noon today.

Then he drops the tranny oil out of a Juke during an engine oil change... sigh.

$10/qt for replacement CVT fluid.....grrr.

But it`s Christmas you know.

He brings me a holiday gift bag and says "Merry Christmas"

A shirt and a poster/calendar.

Almost peed myself.

Good kid, good kid.

I covered his name so nobody tries to hire him from under me.

i`ve done the grooming.

Glad to hear he's still doing okay for you. Hopefully he doesn't pick up too many bad habits and only learns the good stuff from you.... ;)

His Pap showed up at noon to take him to a family gathering.

Told his Pap to back his pickup over to my storage trailer and told the boy to come help me.

Opened the door and told the boy to load the AC/DC Tombstone into his Pap`s truck.

Told him Merry Christmas.

He just stared at it...

Good kid... good kid.

I don't know, but I would assume the welder he gave away was the buzz box that does DC also. The welder you have there is a very expensive welder!! If he gave one of those away he is Santa Clause.

Seems like you only need to show up to be hired.

Well it helps if you act like the boss is smarter too.🤣

About the valve of pictured welder, some time they get very plentiful in certain  areas and get real cheap. I got a AC only version for $200, and since have seen the AC/DC models that stayed on the market for months.

I think of the IdealArc 250 pictures above as being the Cadillac of welders.  We referred to them as the “Doghouse welders”.  The smaller 225’s and 180’s were referred to as the “Tombstones”.  In both cases it was due to their respective shapes.

I would work a week of/on sunday, for that christmas present

excellent welder..had a friend with one of those we took all our dirty hard jobs to him,it set in the open garage corner for YEARS leads and most rods outside ALL year.

get the truck/item close enough around the piles, pick up a broken rod from the driveway ,he would yell crank up or down , or look for xx rod and in 15 minutes it would be done. uphill and no grinding unless you wanted it fancy (at home)

estate wanted to sell it for $400 ,told his grandson to take it and take Much better care of it. they were + - $1500 used then

neighbor kid wants to learn (2 years now) found him several for + - $700  he or dad worry too much it may need repairs  ..keep looking at HF..china sales....ick

If he has figured out to show up he has 95% of the competition beat.

if nothing else comes of you two working together, which I doubt, this is worth it
