DWF 51
When the TD9 92 series came out in 1959 it had a DT-282 which was the glow plug direct starting engine. In the mid 60's the TD-9B came out. The direct drive had a DT-282 and the power shift model had a D-282 non turbo engine. It ran much faster than the turbo engine. SONNY 80
I had a TD-9-91 and it had the 350, gas start motor. My other older ones had the 335 in them. ---- never had the 92 series.

markat 4
Was the 91 series the last of any model IH built to use a gas start diesel? Or did some bigger or smaller crawlers continue using gas start diesel engines later than the 91 series production run?
DWF 51
In 1961 the TD-15 was listed as still having the 554 engine and the TD-20 was listed as having the 691 engine both were gas starting. I don't know when they switched , but the 15 went to a 361 and the 20 had a DT429 I believe both by the mid 60's. DWF
