1586 Jeff
I have been asked to look at a John Deere 329D skid steer. Apparently it runs fine on a cold start, but intermittently will only idle on a warm start. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look? Thank you. 1989 plowboy
Check and see if it has the sensor that alters timing when the engine is cold if it has it you can simply unplug it to test it

1586 Jeff
So it turned out that the throttle pedal had gotten sticky and would not return to the true idle position immediately. If it sat for a number of hours it would return fully. Being a potentiometer for the throttle by wire system the computer was detecting an out of range value and holding the engine to idle speed only.
