loadstar 1600

Recommended Posts

I have a loadstar 1600 and am looking to mount 275/80 22.5 tires on the front axle (spoke rims). The current (original) tires are 9.00x20 tube type on split ring rims. The 275's rub against the tie rod end. Would a later model loadstar have a different link to allow more room, or am I stuck making a spacer to move the steering link that is bolted to the hub? if I went that route it would seem I would also need to shorten the tie rod as well.

thoughts?

Heat and bend the link, shorten the tie rod, check toe-in. Done!
