It’s always hard do you have a nice looking load when you pull the bales out of a stack or piled in a building, and it’s even worse when you have two different size bales on your load! One time I was trucking a load for a guy and his bales ranged between 4 feet and 5 feet in diameter and they were all mixed in the building, I ended up with 28 bales on one side of the trailer and 32 on the other!

4x5 bales, 700-750#. they were stacked 4 high in the barn. the bottom row had some square edges in places. it made loading a challenge, for sure.

Guys here will load a trailer that full with 2 rows of heavy bales..

Laws favor hay haulers here as the can be 12.5 feet, or 16 if it's loose hay...and dot just stays out of the way...

The Duramax tugged about 800 of these home this summer.  4x5 straw for calf bedding.  Used to haul 14 with the old trailer. Rented this one this year and it was well worth the money.IMG_20190811_163645495.thumb.jpg.6e5fa0a1804be3d7fb2cd7a3005000b6.jpg

We stack ours on their face for that reason. Takes a little longer stacking in the barn but worth it if you haul them on a flatbed.

We haul 14- 1400 lb bales on the 30' gooseneck behind the 94 6.5 GMC. Hauled thousands of bales and hopefully haul thousands more with that rig. Cant seem to find a picture of it right now. Have hauled with 6.0 gas trucks but gotta stop and fuel up at lunch time lol

I have seen people run double stacked all the way back, then stack one face down on the goose neck. for me.

I wish my trailer was a fifth wheel 😁😁

No guts, no glory I guess for me

are the bales still bringing a good price? with all the corn silage being harvested was wondering if the price of hay has softened a bit? I know earlier they were bringing top ollar haven't heard much lately.
