That can be repaired, can be really nice if done correctly

Black stripes are available, comes in 3 separate pieces, chrome strips are available, takes 2, IH plastic logos are available for bottom cab corners but I don't install them using the factory method, just 2 sided tape or Velcro so they can be removed for transport or such.  The white cab or black if you choose is available, white is just is hard to get since it needs to 3/4" wide.

I painted the 1586 black there that we had that was rough when we got it. I then painted over it with the tar coated type of roofing paint. The textured surface hid many defects . It was a working tractor that we bought in '96 and put 20+k hours on before selling it

What causes that spot to rot out? The farm I was on had half a dozen tractors with those cabs throughout the years and I don't recall ever seeing one that was in that rough of shape in that spot. These tractors saw manure and road salt in the winter and spent the majority of their life outside. The 1086 had  holes rotted through both fenders and the usual spot on the door but not the back lower corner of the cab

There’s a 1086 at my Dad’s shop now, the underside of the fenders is mint, like no rust at any of the seams of the under structure, rotted out at the bottom of the white back post like the picture in the original post, moisture must gather there in some situations

When you guys paint the black stripes on the cab, do you fill in the seams at the top edge where the 2 cab pieces are welded together? Or just paint?  On some of them I have filled in and then applied the decal to make a smoother surface.

Hey Missouri mule, how do you like that Massey baler? We need to upgrade some day from our Vermeer XL. Everyone around here either has green or yellow. Just curious because I’m not prejudice against anything if it works

How wide was the white trim I sent you for the 186? If it's the right stuff, I will share where I got it.

We run 2 and my bil runs 2 as well. We have had some net wrap actuator trouble that mostly turned out to be battery voltage issues. They are a simple Baler. I absolutely love the fully auto feature. If you have never tried it you should demo one. All you do is stop the tractor and dump the clutch when it beeps. With all it's own hydraulics built in it keeps your tractors out of the loop and all works smoother because of it. I've ran new holland, john deere, vermeer, hesston. It doesn't like tough hay. It eats silage over 40% without a kit, but tough hay will give some trouble starting a bale at times. It will plug augers on pickup. I finally figured out to not go slow starting a bale just let it eat and it helps push it up in the chamber better. All in all I'll buy another one.

Prime it, then rattle can spray on bed liner? I use those $12 cans a lot on  black colored stuff that needs some flaws or defects hidden. It holds up very well on truck plow fames, hitches, etc.  Light texture it has.

I think That is what I am going to use.  The decal just traps water under it.

3/4"

I got it from Real Products Mfg. LTD in Ney, OH. The trim is called Jumbo Jiffy Trim - White. If any one wants to order it, call them at 1-800-659-2459. I purchased 12 feet of the trim, which I think is just enough for the area you asking about. I forget how many feet the front takes.

I have a 5x6 challenger version and like it also. Good baler and glad I got it. A neighbor has a new one that he traded a almost new roll belt 560 in for and does his share of bragging on it.
