Hi guys I have a 1989 7130 Case IH with 2 speed reverse I'm having issues hydraulically I think I parked it everything works perfect two weeks later I went to move it and it would not move after playing with the levers a while I got to move I will check the transmission pressures and they are within range but if you hold the hydraulic lever ahead so it's like deadheading everything works fine but when you first start the tractor it takes 30 seconds or so for the hydraulics lever to do anything make any sound I'm thinking maybe a check valve didn't know if there was any good advice out there case I h guy seemed kind of stumped thanks for any info

Sorry I don't know the answer so I didn't respond originally. If no one smarter than me answers here talking to the service manager at the dealership might give you some ideas to check

They they don't really know either we checked the pressure with the gauges on the transmission at first they told me they figured the transmission was out but everything's pressures are good and when you use the hydraulic lever everything works fine it's almost got to be a check valve but I'd like to know how to test if anybody knows thank you

Check the suction screen it did have some stuff on it and there is a few little pieces of clutch disc did have clutches replaced in transmission 300 hours ago or less I believe in the speed transmission but acting totally different than it is now so I don't know if them pieces of clutch material I found now could have been somewhere in the transmission when they rebuilt it everything looked extremely clean inside there but I know the pressure light comes on stays on in gears 3-4-8-9-15-16 not too sure I want to ask the dealer how much this is going to cost or even if it's worth it does anybody know anybody that works on these southern Minnesota besides dealer thanks

And we tested the pressures and everything seemed to be within range

I have not seen a Magnum that wasn't worth overhauling the transmission yet. There are cheaper places than the dealer often but I think when splitting one apart to fix it's best to replace 100% all the clutches in the speed and range transmission

If the system pressure light is coming on in the gears you listed(probably 9th and 10th gear, not 8th and 9th), the 3rd speed clutch has the leak somewhere. It’s used in gears 3-4-9-10-15-16, which are mostly what you listed.

Thanks SDman is there anything else should be done when you put in the speed transmission should we replace check valves in tcv it looks like that has to come off and I know they're cheap when we did the range transmission I was overlooked and helped the guy a little everything looked like new except the clutch plates and fell off I'm guessing that's what happened again with what I seen in there thanks
