2006 Case DX55 lost forward and reverse

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

New to the tractor screen.

My Case 55 has 2000/hrs

I just got it, used it for an hour picking apples.

Parked it in my garage , next day I had a hand full of nothing.

No more Forward or Reverse.

Is this electrical or does the shifter go directly to transmission?

Any help would be great thanks .

Mechanical shuttle or Electro-Hydraulic Shuttle Shift (EHSS)?

Those tractors as well as the New Holland brothers have a safety controller that has to see a number of inputs before they will drive. Seat switch, cycle of clutch pedal to name a few. Serial number would be helpful in diagnosing.

So father in law showed up, i mentioned everything i did before it wouldn’t start after 6hrs of checking all the electrical we found out the issue was the emergency seat switch between the male and female connectors was so full of gunk it was acting as if no contact was being made.

So simple but took a long time to get there.

Thanks for everyone who piped in.
