Truck thread

Recommended Posts

Maybe this has been done before and I haven't seen it or maybe it's already on the truck board. I thought I would start a truck thread so everybody can share photos of their farm trucks. Grain, silage, tractor trailer or strait anything is welcome.

Here's a picture of my ride to start things. It's a 2005 Mack cl700, 565 isx cummins, Mack maxitorque 18 speed and Eaton locking rear ends pulling a Rosa tri axle air ride pup. I know it isn't the flashiest thing on the road but after all it's a working truck

Here's my entry in the grain truck department. 1988 IH 9370. 855 Cummins Formula engine pulling a 1991 Wilson Pacesetter hopper bottom trailer. Even has the 100th Anniversary of Wilson Trailer decals on it. ( It was the 125th Anniversary in 2015). It is only a 9 speed Eaton in it but i make do. She's not the prettiest truck around but it has treated us well. Had it since 2011.

....always  liked American    trucks.......Started   with a Chevrolet.......Finished 25 years later  with (several ) Mack...... Had   several Internationals along the way...from a new C1100  in 1967 to  several 6x4  Class eight trucks...but those Macks were just the best ....without doubt ...Yeah...some blokes moaned   about looking at a dogsarse      all day.....but for reliability....they took some heading off.....I competed for a particular  line of work , with Mercedes.....The Macks outlasted the Mercs.....

Sure, first pic is our Pro Stock, Red Power Express and the second is 2 M's. We run all 3 in Illinois Tractor Pulling Association.

Here's another.  Not as pretty as Lorenzo's, but still gets grain down the road.  1984, 400 big cam, around 750,000 on the clock.

Another 1984, 427 with air tag. 80,000 miles.

As a result of Red Power Forum, AND a neighboring farmer having a baby, I was conscripted into driving these two cabover a bit this spring to pinch hit for the neighbor.

The red and white Freighliner is a 1984 with a 300 Cummins 855.

The blue 9670 is a 1981 with a 350 Cummins 855 and a 13 speed.  I nicknamed it the Blue Mule.

Fun trucks, they turn heads wherever they go, especially when they are washed up.   But getting in and out of barnyards is where the cabovers shine in terms of maneuverability.
