Flux core VS argon gas

Recommended Posts

I like my 210 mp, I run c25, c100 is cheaper and works fine. If I run out of gas or wire I go to stick. Bought a spool gun too for stock trailers and such. Portable with a non inverter generator, needs less than 20 amps. Best mig welder I have used in the wind. I have flux core for emergencies only

Our Miller 252 is really the sweetest welder I’ve ever used, squeeze the trigger and go. Have 3 leads for it, it was bird nesting with.023 wire, got a whole new smaller lead and gun for that and then a 400 amp gun for the added heat of the dual shield. Also a spool fun for stainless and aluminum. There’s a lot tied up in it but every time it gets used it reminds that it was worth it. I think a miller 180 would be an acceptable unit but really, if you’re going to set up to do it, do it right, go big or go home. It’s a good investment.

Don`t tell anyone, especially VTF, but he turned me on to USAWELD and after weeks of shopping for a new small mig, I pulled the trigger today and ordered an HTP-130.

USA`s machine seems to be a well built/warranted/gas ready welder with a support team!

And trust me, I need support.

$449 to my door.

HTP used to make some good stuff, I used a few of their larger ones over the years.........................Can't speak on the current offerings.

Spose that could be said about Miller/Lincoln and Hobart.

Don`t think USA sell any other brand migs.

Unless they build them, that says something about HTP imo.

I was never a big fan of Blue welders................Had quite a few here, there have been none now for quite a few years.  Mine are all yellow.................had a few red ones as well that were sweet, but like my yellow paint better.

That was unnecessary, and really rude.

As opposed to necessary and  unrude?
