Drain oil, be just like new.

Seriously though, that textured crap from Home Depot, deck restore or whatever it is, DO NOT USE IT.

Thompson's Water Seal is pretty good but you should redo it every other year.

Thompson’s is crap doesn’t last more than 6 months. Use Pennefin much better product or go trex style and have low maintenance.

Crude oil, if you can get it, works well.

Yup, the restore stuff from ppg sux big time, it's peeling off all over my deck, and I think where it isn't peeling it's holding moisture in the wood and rotting it.  There was a class action suit against ppg for that product for good reason!

Have you looked at any boat/ marina products? There’s gotta be something along that product line that would be perfect for a deck. May need to speak to someone within that industry though. It would be a good excuse to go to a marina and look at all those fancy boats!

I think the contrast in it now actually looks pretty cool! Better than just a bunch of the same ugly colored boards.

I must be a gluten for punishment but I have my deck painted a Clay color to match the house.  Did 3 good coats on the front porch 2 years ago and it still looks like I just painted it.  The other deck which is bigger I redid this year and did 3 coats on that as well.  The wood looked like yours or a bit worse and it now looks really nice.  I use Sherwin Williams "Super Paint" exterior acrylic latex.
