A few pics from today...

Recommended Posts

County fair kicks off Saturday. The local Farm Bureau young leaders hold a tractor drive every year in coordination with a car/tractor show on the town square. I have to help cook from 8-10am and plan on doing the tractor drive at 1pm.  I’ve never had anything in a show but since I will be there the 6 is getting put in. Been working nights this week so after I got up this morning it got a wash/wax. It still isn’t a show tractor but hopefully won’t get kicked out. Most all the paint is original including the tin work.

Umm.....you mentioned a car show??

....'spose there will be any pics of that too??

Not asking for a bunch of pics....just the cool ones. Not so much the funny looking ones (fords and foreign jobs)...mostly just the Mopars....or maybe only the Mopars? Thanks in advance😉

Your tractor is purty too👍👍😁

Looking great!  Much better than any green that will be there.   And I am not quite as picky about the cars.   😉Just any pics are cool.

Heck with the tractor, someone is serious with the Gehl Skidloader.............Do you lift houses with it needing a full rack of IH weights?, also is it in the house garage?  If it is I am royally upset because I thought I was the only one who did that!

I’ve never put weights on it but I didn’t put the bracket on either.  That is the “house garage” but it is not attached to the house.  I park the commuter cheapo work car in one side and the skid loader in the other side. The wife’s car and my pickup reside in the pole barn which you can see in this pic of the 140.

We had a Gehl 4625 that had a weight bracket . We used it to unload bulk seed, it had enough hydraulics just not enough weight. Was it OSHA approved probably not but it would unload them and stack them in a lot tighter spot than a tractor.

That's a sharp looking 686 for sure.

It is supposed to be 95° and high humidity tomorrow. That will have the chip and seal roads slinging tar all over I’m afraid. Oh well, I helped set this up as a break even event to get people out and now it has turned into a fund raiser for a scholarship so it’s worth it.  I’ve never taken this one on a drive. The canopy will really help beat the heat.

That one is a 4610. It is nothin g compared to newer machines but does a good job around here moving rock, dirt, and snow as needed.

Do you have a spare key for the 686?  Don't want to be stranded!  😁  Enjoy the ride, Todd!
