Rusty, what is mounted to the side of the 1456? Was that a loader frame or something else?

It's a piece of iron that was laying around that happened to be the same width as the drill, so my uncle clamped it on and used it fro front weight and a guide for keeping strate Screenshot_20190505-150959_Gallery.thumb.jpg.46cf838dd3f5991ff9032a8b1afc7ce0.jpg

Gonna be awhile before we can get in the field here.  Here's a couple pics of the 806 working last year.

the cows get more done than I do.  Was hoping to get one more year's hay out of this field- it has decent drainage for bottom ground- but it iced over mid winter and I think that did in the alfalfa

used the new to us 5088 to scratch  around in some ground going to oats.  Wasn't really fit, but the calendar says get to it.  Used to be we could get oats seeded in March once in a while, but it's been many years.  There is a little corn planted in my neighborhood

They aren't all from this year, a couple pictures are from last year. It's just what I had on my phone. That's my 706 German on the cultimulcher, my 1086 on the sprayer, my 7120 on the nh3 applicator. My grandpas 7120s on the finisher and 955 planter.

Me with the 5088 I bought in March, breaking in my fresh engine overhaul, and my 10 year old nephew in the 1486. Finally drying out a little.

...G'day    Rusty.......thanks for your response  to the picture of our old 5130 and a NZ made direct drill etc.......but I also go   "wow"   when I see pics of the big IH tractors of yesteryear, "Still doing   time "   ..out on the vast flat areas of the US........Our little farm  is very picturesque......but to small to keep two families   .......thus I still operate heavy machinery on a contract basis...and have sufficient work  ahead to keep me going, until.........

I have travelled extensively , over the last 45 years ,in the great US of A.......always looking and admiring farms and the rural people thereon....real people.......and some of the operations , on farm, are just staggering in size and scope...just love it over there !!

If you look at that picture of the old 5130 etc.......look in the  upper middle of the pic...on the left side, you will spot a roof !  Enclose a picture of the view from the north-east facing  deck......whilst  having that first cup of tea in the morning...... The block where first picture is taken.....is obscured by the morning fog.......sort of above the red shed roof.....:)
