TD -9B hydraulic pump dozer

Recommended Posts

Got the 1963 TD 9B working pretty good now, lift cylinders rebuilt, but now the tracks out run the blade.  Hotter it gets, the slower the blade reaction is.  Any idea what this pump is??  Gallons per minute, at what pressure? No numbers or ID on it.  Front crank mounted.

Thanks!

Blindboy, that pump looks small from the picture, it may be a unit supplied by Northern Hyd. or ? The factory pump for that tractor is a Hydreco (no longer available) 2020A17S5Al, rated at 32 gpm @ 1800 engine rpm. When I replaced my pump I went to a Permco 30 gpm pump.  Depending on the hydraulic cylinder size you may need a 30 gpm pump. Your pump appears to be an aluminum pump, all the industrial heavy duty pumps I am aware of are cast iron.

By way of translation - in terminology down here it is physically possible to root for a team but not yet really socially acceptable

Surpluscenter.com is another good source for pumps.

Guys, thanks for the replies, that pump was on it when we got, don't know anything about it.  May  be a wood splitter pump,  actually looks about that size!! LOL! Louie, thanks for the info.  I'll do some digging and see what I can find.

Thanks again !!
