TGFAIN 0
I'm working on my 504, trying to replace the seals on the IPTO shaft in the transmission. How does the shaft come out? Do I have to pull the gear out to get the shaft out? I have already remove the throwout bearing and the cross shaft to the clutch pedal.
TGFAIN 0
This is the shaft I'm talking about. I need to replace the bearing and the seal behind it.
CIHTECH 427
I can't see it in your picture but there is a big square headed pipe plug below shaft. Remove pipe plug and then remove the 1/2 bolt. Lightly tap on gear and a tapered split ring will pop out. Remove lower gear and now you can pull top shaft. I can't remember 100% but I think you will also need to remove bottom cover.
