Any of you blokes got one of these??

..well, after the fiasco in Christchurch, New Zealand.......our "Gun Laws" have had a major shakeup......without any  consultation with the peasants...just an arbitary decision from the cartel of socialist hags ''running'' the country.......so.....all military style   semi-auto   weapons are now illegal......According   to our  'slanted' news media....two of America's   high profile politicians, one Bernie Sanders   and the other, no less than  the "Occasional Cortez" have seen this act as a total revelation in respect of  a prompt response to  "gun related  mass murder"......

Down under it is seen as pissing off a lot of law abiding firearm owners......who are/were highly  unlikely to wander off and shoot a bunch of people...and , of course, it will push the value of the hundred s   of illegally  held MSSA  firearms, within NZ.........but also it is seen as a huge step forward by the idiots that are so bloody stupid..that they vote for a left wing govt.

Re the picture...I really like American lever firearms...but like the eternal Ford /Chev/ Dodge  dissections......I prefer   Savages  and Marlins  to the other well known   marque.......however, the picture shows two 1895 Winchesters that I have...and the left side one is one of over 300,000  made for The Russian Military...That is not a very common rifle, today.......and, incidently,  the only "military " rifle of any note in my collection

Mike....

Very nice Mike, there is something about the fit and feel of a lever that is just right, those are nice examples 🍻

Regarding your enlightened political superiors, I hope you and your peer peasants who are still armed remind them who they serve.

Remember, an armed public is peopled by citizens, unarmed they are just subjects.

Here in New Zealand it's a priviledge to have a firearms license. We do not have a constitution like the USA so no second amendment. It puts a totally different perspective on the argument. Unless you live here and understand our lifestyle it's a moot point. It's the same for some of us looking into the USA. We have not lived by your history nor your rules - it is hard to maintain the same perspective or outlook on life. For all our faults we don't do too bad for a small nation in the South Pacific.

A friend of mine has a 45–70 lever action that I’ve tried out… That thing has got kick!! It also could do some damage at close range, but it’s not very good for long distance because the bullet drops too fast because of the size of it!

Last Sunday I saw this on the rear window of a pick up… It should not be only for government, but to stop all the crazy lunatics out there too!!

A friend had one years ago. He trades alot so it only lasted a few years.

I have plenty of other military style firearms, mausers from the 1800s through a collector series fn15 m-16 (semi auto version of m-16 by fn) and saga ak-74 semi.

I am dangerous but my weapons have never harmed anyone since I have owned them.

Thx-Ace

Be honest, you were looking at the one below the “7”. 😁

Nice looking levers Mike. Definitely a classic feel that is hard to beat. Does your collection get into any smaller calibers like .22 magnum or 32-20?

That was the original reason why I took the picture! 😜

We have had a Ruger #1 in .458 Mag for the past 19 years, until you have squeezed a round of African off you do not know what real recoil is. It is scopeless because the scope is a weapon in itself!

I believe the Ruger #1 is a lever action.

My uncle has some old lever guns and my grandfather had many. An entire wall full almost. There were also high dollar bolt actions n shotguns too. I have 2 military rifles. A type 99 and a type 38 arisaka. My grandpa gave me the type 99 a couple years before he died. He sold most of his collection when he retired from farming on the auction. He kept some bolt actions and a couple of shotguns. 1 of which i have. Dad has a Ross gun that was made for military trials for the U.S,Canada, and Britain for WW1. It was a straight pull bolt and not very successful. I dont think we can even shoot ours. The liberals in this country will have to pry ANY of my guns from my cold, dead hands.

Dont' mean to pick the fly poop out of the pepper, but more technically a falling block. 😀
