...well...it is good to see someone who likes  "music".....with meaningfull lyrics    even.............good one, 'tilla:)

Tom Russell's song writing on his albums is just right up there   allways  liked his music....got a bunch of his  music...and indeed  managed to get a copy of the above CD, in  Gatlinburg, TN. in 2008......just about  my favourite CD

...all that other " long haired  crap."....you can shove that where the sun don't  shine.....................

Mike

To be best appreciated "The Man From" needs to be listened in entirety in one sitting.  Good music for a long drive.

One of these?  That's debatable as many early TV shows had enhanced performances of current music hits.

Either way great vintage music.

Sissel "Going Home". Seriously considering taking a trip from Dallas to Norway in 2019 to attend one of her concerts. The total cost  of a  live concert from a world renown entertainer is cheaper than a piece of old iron!

We got to see them do that live in St. Louis a couple of years ago.

It was originally made for the sound track of "Daddy and Them",  John Prine actually played part in the movie.

She showed up as a "special guest" when we saw him in St. Louis.  We were pleasantly surprised but not shocked, since she lives in Iowa anyway.

I like that one. Used to work with an old timer that would break out John Prine songs and crank them at in-opertune times. It was hilarious.

Ha ha ha, you’re right

Here’s a fairly local guy. First time I ever heard it I got goosebumps. That was the one and only time a song ever did that to me.
