I have forgotten what I’ve added here and what I haven’t. 😊

It's like the Montana thread. Just keep posting! Some of us may have forgotten by now, anyhow.

They usually get better with age. Yet, some leave you wondering what you were thinking in the first place. 😁

Word association.

I saw a post in Tech Talk titled Foggy Hour Meter. Made me think of Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Then I says to myself..... NO!

It's not cerebral enough!!

My copy saw too many "social engagements" & did not survive well. School's Out is another album beat to death & back. Everyone loved that desktop jacket!

Think we need a good American sound for the 4th. Seeing how no one knows what country AND Western music is (yes, we have both here!) How about some non electric resonator music with ram pump accompaniment..... blues??

Hopefully.... our Mr. Newman can find such twangyness & rhythmic clatter to be unoffensive to his aural senses.

Though this wee bit of excitement may do his head in.

The poor feller!

And.... no, I don't buy for a minute that the blues was a Russian invention. If anything, they invented disco! And plaid! Yuck!!!!

Ahh   Mike......thankyou for   warning me  in respect of the ''aural   senses''  and the possible   discomfort thereof...however, it may come as no surprise to you...that at the modest age I have attained   simply means the factory aural senses,   having long lost that flush of youth....are on a downward slope, shall we say....In fact , running the Stihl 66 , ,does not require any ear protection......

So..I circled warily   around that post for a day or two...and finally let it twang....and it was fine...untill I turned the volume right up...even then   I didn't experience any anxiety    attacks.....nor...(you will be so thankful...) did it ''do my head  in''....

There are so many  other  things that these 'daze'   ...will do my head in...but we must refrain  from those discussions...but guitar   played by John  Prine,   Tom T Hall,    Roy Clark ....Dan Seals   ..Nanci Griffith...Chris   LeDoux  and many others is a joy to listen to...

Thankyou......'till we twang again.....:)

you can listen and feel music and it also can take you back to a time and place

The winter this was a hit on the radio I blew snow with an Allis 7050 and a Bervac blower for 100s of hours at an airport. Everytime I hear this song ( like today) I think of my favorite old Allis ... I would like one if the price was right

Probably already posted somewhere in the previous 22 pages... But in light of Robbie's passing yesterday:

I pulled into Nazareth, was feelin' about half past dead
I just need some place where I can lay my head
"Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?"
He just grinned and shook my hand, "no" was all he said

Take a load off Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off Fanny
And (and, and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)

I picked up my bag, I went lookin' for a place to hide
When I saw Carmen and the Devil walkin' side by side
I said, "Hey, Carmen, come on let's go downtown."
She said, "I gotta go but my friend can stick around."

Take a load off Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off Fanny
And (and, and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)

Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' you can say
It's just old Luke and Luke's waitin' on the Judgment Day
"Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?"
He said, "Do me a favor, son, won't you stay and keep Anna Lee company?"

Take a load off Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off Fanny
And (and, and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)

Crazy Chester followed me and he caught me in the fog
He said, "I will fix your rack if you take Jack, my dog."
I said, "Wait a minute, Chester, you know I'm a peaceful man."
He said, "That's OK, boy, won't you feed him when you can?"

Yeah, take a load off Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off Fanny
And (and, and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)

Catch a cannon ball now to take me down the line
My bag is sinkin' low and I do believe it's time
To get back to Miss Fanny, you know she's the only one
Who sent me here with her regards for everyone

Take a load off Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off Fanny
And (and, and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
