Sammy wrote a tribute song to Eddie. The story goes Eddie came to Sammy in a dream . The older I get the more I long for the good loe days and this one takes me back there. DLR,Alex and Wolfgang approve! Joe Satriani nails it!

Its awesome!

....Good Morning, Ron...from down under !!....and belated BD greetings etc,,,,

Its always great to wake up ,down under, and open up the Red Power site to see who's up who and who hasn't paid etc...catch up with the exploits of 'names '' that I am very familiar with  .......and hear of the many ongoing issues ..good and  so often bad, going on in  the respective lives etc To find my name up in the 'highlights''  along with such a distinguished critic of the music world as @KWRB is a very humbling  moment...

I have had the privilege's of meeting several good blokes from this site...(far to few ,in reality..due to being about 10,000 miles from your back yards...)...and spent over 12 months in total, visiting the great US of A.  .including   three trips to the RPRU...the last, sadly memorable for all the wrong reasons....I have heard all sorts of variations of the English language...as enunciated by folk across   America...(except for New England regions...which could exempt, for eg @vtfireman85 from any  implied criticism......)...I have been told that I talk ''funny''..this by some good ol' blokes from the Southern States,  (Lebanon, Tn 2005 )...and have spent, and have great memories from my friends in Utah and Arizona, talking with that characteristic drawl.....

However, without wishing to rain on your parade, Ron,  I found that ol'   'WWJr's  serious speech impediment, combined with that noticeable decline in my  ''cochlea  chamber''  function   (my ear,  Ron  ..the ear !!) .....precluded  ''me'' finding that ''sweet spot '' of the music world .....that sort of noise that some of you find so endearing to the  cochlea chamber function,

But..as always Ron..thankyou for including me in your somewhat reckless ''musical'' selections...

Been crate digging again. My YT channel is not a music channel, so I'm relying on someone else's wax. So here, have some rare NoCal country swamp funk. It's a shame these cats didn't go any further.

Should our Red Power upside down brother-from-another-mother check in from his large rock in the Pacific.... it sounds like the Dead & may not be for you.... however it is a bit on the chill side. So.... listen at your own risk.

....trying to ''hook' me again .....??<_<...nah...not my taste...again ..sigh

...tell you what  Mike...get Tom Russell   singing ''Blue Wing "...(not the live version ...)and put it on here....

..that has proper lyrics...good backing and a song with a story...thats the sort of music I really like...Tom sings some great stuff...of that genre..

Some of the ''music'' you blokes like .....brings out the urge to rush into print...for all the wrong reasons....:)

Larry Collins stayed in the industry and performed rockabilly and wrote songs like Delta Dawn and You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma

Just died in Dec of last year

I got a kick out of this old video of him as a youngster

Well....that was a change for the best...Good stuff   there, Jeff

...A sad day here to see ..of all people   the bloody Beatles getting a look in......

..it was trash like that , which ruined ''music'' for ever  more....yelling, lyric less dirge..nothing more...opium for the brainless masses..

I ain't here to pick a fight with nobody, to each his own, but it's music like the song above that heals my mind from the onslaught of daily disturbances that try to tear pieces of it away.

It is restorative to me.

It makes me smile

Music has a powerful effect on the mind.

Both good and bad.

I'm glad you liked it Mike

FWIW – for you music buffs

“Tonight, we present some music, but with a few questions. Here’s Redneck Widows performing Country Law. A bit of a catchy song, eh?! The visuals are clearly AI generated. But is the music AI generated? I asked a professional musician about this and he responded that there are a lot of computer generated sounds going on. But I’m wondering if even the main female voice is completely generated by a computer. Thoughts?”

@mike newman this one is for you since you were such a Gordon Lightfoot fan Gordie's band is still touring with an actual friend of Gordie singing and playing guitar. Sounds like Gordie's ghost is channeling through him

Thats weird.  If you look them up there is so little info it really feels like they are AI.  Ive read there are companies making OnlyFans sites with AI women and people subscribe to the tune of 100s of 1000s to the computer geek creating these fake women.  Its is just getting eirie.  Look up on youtube "AI taking over soon".  Few tin foil guys but there is this young super smart black kid (forget name) who has a great take on a big report some tech giants put forth about AI.  Its scary an sooner than most of us think.  The senarios are good and bad.  Feeling more bad.....

This guy is a little ruff (language in most songs is pretty oil field, and doesnt add anything so...) but this song is very good imho.  I dont drink much if any and this reminds me why.  Not worth it to me imho.  Has several albums some great songs some so so.  '9 lives' is good song too.  Being a NW WA kid growing up here its best described as Grunge/Alice in chains crossed with Hank Jr.

I guess hes pretty famous in SE and now getting more play time on radio too.

..thanks for that,Hilman ......

...some of the stuff that is put on this site is rather too much for me.....some tortured soul plucking hopefully on a string instrument whilst  emitting noise from the vocal chords as though a bobcat is chewing on his balls....

..obviously finds favour with the great unwashed.....the meretricious nature of that type of noise  is not what cultured and refined excavator operators need.......even the constant noise of a Cummins has more melodic benefits.....

..as always..just my opinion

I know a guy that does a great karaoke of Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald. It’s the only Lightfoot song that I’ve heard him do.
