Ole Dolly was miserable with the heat above 62F in the bedroom, so she got her spring hair cut early this year. I can run it up to 68F now and she and Mr. Lambsy sleep solid as a rock (other than a middle the night pee and a patrol of the yard -- I don't mind, as I need to do one of those myself along about that time).

mike newman
...the sight of a crusty old Kiwi Farmer shedding tears...on camera....as he talked about the loss of his dogs was heartbreaking.......His home was trashed ..but the horrible way his dogs perished had really got to him...... Most Farmers have what we call ''dog motels'' which give the individual dog plenty of room to move about a snug ''bedroom ;'' and a small patio outside...with slotted floor so the waste ..if any...can be washed out easily.....The ''motel'' is about rwo feet off the ground.....so when that wall of water about seven feet deep came roaring down the Esk Valley in the middle of the night...there was a helluva lot of valuable dogs lost.....sadly the focus was on the rural folk trying to get up into the ceiling of the house and onto roofs...even then thus far 11 bodies have been found.... It is something we don't think about ...never mind the cats but the loss of good dogs is so bloody sad Even horse's have been lost...drowned.....
