Lotta miles to put on tomorrow taking the big bunch out west At least this way he can go along and chase a calf or two for a bit. Should be more comfortable than just the saddle pad on the bare rack. I think he will appreciate it. You're a good dude

sandhiller
Cash normally sleeps in the shade of the old black Dodge. He has adapted quickly and is waiting for the first to ride in the new(to me) pickup.

I'm sure Cash will enjoy the AC this summer. 2

sandhiller
Kind of a bitter sweet day today I weaned my fall calves. Part of the routine is putting the feed into the bunks with sacks and on foot. Gus would always carry the empty sacks back and put them in a pile in the barn. I would fold them in half so he wouldn't trip over them and he would be there to take them out of my hand. I loved watching him prance to the barn with them, he was so happy, youda thought he was carrying a rooster pheasant with a 24" tail feather. 😄 Well, for the first time in ten years of weaning, he wasn't there to carry the sacks back. I tried to grin and think of how much he enjoyed the routine and how I always got such a kick out of watching him prance to the barn but could not keep my eyes from leaking. Gus was a good dog and provided me with many great memories. I just have to keep my damn eyes from leaking and work on my smile more when I remember. Thank you Lord for giving us dogs as unequalled companions. 10
