I said it before in this thread, " Dogs are good people" I have 2 best friends, my wife and my dog👩🐕 I have said it many times to my dog, “you are one of my favourite people” Nicky likes to hold long treats such as dental sticks in her mouth for a while before devouring them, she looks like she’s smoking a cigar 5

junkandcattle
I think someone wore himself out doing dog stuff like taking naps etc. For a small dog he manages to take up a lot of prime real estate aka my recliner

These two like to take up the prime real estate also. When we first got that furniture the border collie wouldn’t go in it because the chair rocked ( the old one didn’t). She has since conquered her fear. I guess we are going to have to put a sheet on that chair all the time as well. Between the two of them there are three dog beds which they use, but sometimes they like these chairs. 2

I have mixed feelings on the Australian thing. If I remember correctly, the current law states imported dogs have to be quarantined for something like six months before getting their "freedom". Is that right? I briefly flirted with taking a job in Europe once. Moving the dogs was going to be a nightmare. I was leaning towards taking the Queen Mary 2, as opposed to flying them in crates in baggage. Of course a lot of people would throw a "therapy dog" vest on them and put them in the cabin! mike newman
.......no picture....but there is an advert on behalf of one particular ''dog shelter ' ...somewhere in NZ...this on TV, which I see down at my ''happy place '' The add has nice quiet music...starts and .pans in on an old man by his wifes new headstone...You get the drift....Then you see him heading home...not particulaly happy...obviously.....then you see him at the ''dog shelter'' looking at various hounds.....He wanders around..then laboriously gets down , on one knee ..to look at an old hound , missing a front leg.. They leave...the old bloke...with his new hound, short of one front leg......then the camera pans on them both , down on a beach..walking together in the sand....the old man is in shorts this time...he has prosthetic leg....from'' hip to toe''.... Kind of neat, I thought... Mike

Shows a softer side of life that relates to some one actually caring.

Dasnake
The saddest thing is losing a friend after years of enjoyment, but the one thing we always did is go with them to the office stay with them through the procedure and be the last thing they looked at, I always put myself in their shoes, laying somewhere surrounded by strangers being my last sight, not for us, another option was the vet coming to our house and let the passing happen at home, my gurl did that with her pug, getting all misty here, I'm done.

cjf711
Hi Everyone, hope the forum doesnt hold it against me that my name is Oliver? Cyrus and McCormick didnt make the final list for entire family approval. Just wanted to say I enjoy looking at all my fellow dog pals out there from time to time. Im jealous of all the furniture sitters out there as im not allowed here... except when no one is home. Bark Bark Oliver
