We went for a drive to check up on the local moose population. He is keeping a sparp eye. Didn't get a good look but spent awhile watching an Osprey that must be migrating.

...due to my abysmal  filing  system...with multitudes of pictures...every now and then ..I stumble across one i really like

....this is our old hound "Jed"...much loved and  terribly   missed...still.......sigh

...keeping an eye on the root raking ....

My dog OSCAR; Pyrenean mountain dog.

He is a very docile dog who loves people.
This type of dog is used to protect herds from predators like bears, wolves, or other dangerous animals.
Here is a video shot in the Pyrenees.

In the United States of America, there is a club dedicated to these dogs.

There's an EMT in our department who's been at it -I'm guessing- 30+ years. I think the story he likes tell the most is the dog they saved a few years back.
