460
Can you give us alittle more insite on that ultra rare front end? I know and can kind of see it was repaired? But can't tell to much. Looks nice though! Scott
Long Farms
It was modified to where it is set on wide rows and then you can take off the extensions and narrow it way in. Once i get another front axle on im gonna pull it apart and set it on narrow and get pics before i take it off. Might make decent pulling front end.

Our 10020 is no longer the lowest serial number alive. It was the lowest in the registry up to this picture!!!

Would make for a great picture to get these low serial number 14’s together!!!

Is that a foot throttle I saw in the parts haul? Could make this latest one into a fender delete. For the man who needs one of every variation...... ? Sledgehammer
I like the idea of wide rear singles and a NF but that’s just me. You sure got a knack for finding that stuff Brian. Good work.
Fred B
i'ts possible someone made that front axle to use with a front mounted (fm) bedder. my dad always used fm bedders to re bed (split beds) so as to not pack the seed bed with back tire. like it did when using a rear toolbar bedder, this required driving front wheels on top of old beds. when using our 706 with 5 row fm bedder, ( 4 in front, 1 in back) we replaced the front axle at the pivot with a narrowed combine axle that straddled 1 row, allowing front wheels to drive in the furrows, instead of on top of the bed. (much easier). you can see one of these fm bedders working, mounted on a 806 in the opening and closing credits of the tv show Dallas. Fred B
actually your 1456 looks as it could have had one of those fm bedders it has no weight bracket, and has the little rectangle locators iirc in the right place, along with the missing paint from the frame channels, there would have been a angle lip bolted to the front. does the Dallas 806 still have the bedder mounted? it was quite a job to mount that thing. Long Farms
Ill have to ask what the mans name was that owned and was driving the 806 in the Dallas intro. People who own it now have neglected it and beat the crap out of it. Last i saw it, it had steel wheels and a narrow front pulling a bush hog. At one time board member Eric Farley repainted it. That 806 use to look decent but its in sad shape now.
TeachersPet1066
That’s too bad to hear of it’s condition...possibly the most seen tractor ever. Run in - see the 806 - and off to bed.

I never cared for how the tractor was set up but it always got my attention and I always hoped I could get a glimpse of it before going to bed! Farmall1066
I remember getting to see that 806 as well!! To bad it has not been cared for!! This 806 is not mine, I just ran across it on Craigslist, and this one has been taken care of!!
oneday
If Herr/Leaman wasn't so far from me I would've bought the one they had. I was surprised it sat as long as it did. ICB cab and 23 degree SAT on new rims.

toolz856
Looks like somebody welded the 3 point lift links, just like my "new" 856. I'm looking for good used, or will get new.

No cab, 20.8's, 14L's, rear cast dish in, 10 bolt hubs, set for 30 in. rows, front weight base only, as many rear weights as will fit between the wheel and the dual hub and a 4 in. chrome pipe with the correct lid. I know you don't like chrome Brian, but you asked. Ours isn't even set up like this yet. Yours always look good. Farmall1066
I finally remembered to look at the serial tag on #20 1456, and the same thing, D after 1456. Not sure what the A is below the tag?
