We've got a 444.  My father in law & Uncle in law bought it "decades ago".  so I know nothing about it nor what year it is.....but, it has hydraulic steering.  In fact, I just fixed it from leaking profusely just last summer when I rebuilt the (whatever it's called) that the steering wheel connects to.  I guess it's the steering pump (?)

The first tractors to eliminate the steering shaft connection and utilize the hand pump and cylinder style steering: 504 or 606 would be my guess. The first machines to use power assist steering were the 300/ 400 tractors.
