ole 815 248
Feels good to sweep away 2018, what a crop season! Lots of challenges getting it planted, then harvested. Did finish 1 day sooner than last year, would have been a week, but Mother Nature always Rules....

Farmall1066 1,815
To all who are done, congratulations, and good for you!! 👍🏻 We’ve been getting just screwed over, if it’s not raining, it’s cloudy, then it turned cold, and lately it’s done nothing but nuisance snow, and with 2 inches on the ground, or more. We have 300 acres of beans to cut and 700 acres of corn!🤮
ChrisNY 845
Finished up last Friday, in the rain and snow. Glad to be done, was kind of a wet and miserable harvest. Weather is not getting any better but everything is home and inside. Now wait for a couple nice days and get stuff cleaned up
TheIHMan 124
Finally finished up with most of harvest yesterday, still a few little bottom fields here and there. Overall a good fall, good yields and decent weather.

TeachersPet1066 549
We were finally able to get beans off today. Got a nice day and old neighbor came through and took them off. At least beans are off and hopefully get corn off one of these days.
TomH 1,579
Finally got my last few acres in, enough frost in the ground to stay afloat! My neighbor says this 7110 would look nice in my shed!

Brian W 5
It seems to work good. It was perfect this year with the mud. It is unstoppable, also the drawbar is heavier so it take the tongue weight better than our 3588. We bought it at a auction just by chance this year and didn’t need it but thought it needed a home. It runs perfect and everything works on it. I know it is kinda of a stepchild but I like it and it is very cheap horse power.
jdetig1 85
Love seeing everyone's pictures. Here are a few of mine. Chiseling in the snow with the 7120 and earthmaster. Stretching the 656's legs hauling some wagons. Antique plow day with a couple friends. Had my 656 diesel with a dual and 4 bottom 540 plow. Friends had jd 60 with 3 bottom, 706 gas with dual, 3 bottom and original ih heat houser, 560 diesel with a 412 4 bottom fast hitch plow. It was about 25 degrees out when we were plowing and we all had a great time.

Brian W 5
It is a 1972, we have had for 35 years now. It was a short tractor. We stretched, doubled the frame and added the hoist and rack. Still has the original Cat 1160 in it.
billonthefarm 904
First half of harvest was a breeze. Second half gave us all we could handle. Finally got done tuesday before thanks giving. We had a 5" rain event, the earlist measuerable snowfall in 30 years and 3 measurable snow events before thanksgiving. Forecast is 5-8" of snow and possible blizzard conditions tomorrow. Oh, I had a combine fire in the engine compartment with 2 days to go!

Bill you or whoever was running the combine must be the luckiest man in Illinois for being able to save it. That took alot of quick action and pure luck.
billonthefarm 904
I was 3 miles away moving the grain auger from one bin to another. My phone rings and its dad. "We got a combine fire!" My response was "dont call me call the fire department!" He said he wasnt at the combine but he heard them on the radio, didnt know what was up just my combine driver hollering for the grain cart driver. Well I jumped in the truck and took off. At this point I have no idea whats up. About half way there my phone rings again. Its my combine driver. "Combines on fire!" I said kinda loudly "I wish people would call the fire department instead of me!" He said he had at this point. When I got there they had used the chemical extinguisher on the combine and the pressurized water extinguisher we carry and that had it knocked down. They had dumped everything out of their lunch buckets on it that was liquid and were trying to find any sniw they could to get it all the way out. I carry a 5lb extinguisher in the truck and that got it the rest of the way out. It was smoldering quite a but untill the fire department got there and hoses it down good. It was a close call. Damage is fairly minior I think. Hoses, wires, thottle cable, dipstick tube. Dont know the cause. Insurance said they would rent me a combine. I had 100 acres left. 2 easy days. Figure it would be alot of hassle. Neighbor had 100 acres of corn to pick too. So we took the grain cart and semis and went and helped him get done then he picked my corn. Inusrance will pay me combine rental so I will give him the money and we work back and forth from time to time anyway. We are all just happy to be done. He has the 5130 in the pics. Snapped the one of him running while mine sits there broke down. So sad! Been a awesome machine. Harvest 1900 acres this fall before the fire and the only breakdown had been the steering cylinder mounting bolts had broke. A 2001 machine that is justbas reliable today as it was new! IH design!
