First Extended Cabs?

Recommended Posts

I seen this picture on an upcoming sale.

Was IH the first to make an extended cab?

This sure looks like one.

A lot of those cabs were aftermarket company. I'm not sure about IH, but Fords were sub contracted on older trucks

They're half a sleeper? There were truck tractors with something like that in the early '30s.

The Orrville Body Company in Orrville, OH built specialized cabs including sleepers, 4 door cabs, 1 man cabs and anything else someone wanted for all the manufacturers.  There were others, but Orrville was the largest.
