I saw a truck to buy to be an owner operator. It's at a local consignment sale tomorrow. Here is a picture of it.... actually looks respectable shape for the year It is a '64 White

I drove an old white just like that. Mustang gasser 5spd 3 spd rear axle ten wheeler with a 16 ft grain body.  Cop pulled me over for going too slow. Told me they were going to weigh the old girl. I laughed at the cop. No way could you over load that truck. A memory from 45 years ago.

And here is an IH with the same cab:  I believe that IH supplied the cabs to White.

Feed Mixer truck!!

Wouldn’t have to worry about emissions .  Stretch the frame and put a tandem Hendrickson HN under it and you would be good to go. Probably give less trouble than today’s junk.  LOL.

Did you get the Maxxum?

NO. I have no desire to be the owner of one again. We had a 5140 got as a demo, ran until 13,000 hours . Had two others also. Auctioneer said " this is a maxxum why is the price not going higher" . I said to myself " because it's not a Magnum that's why" ;)

All in all an ok day . We bought some tires on wheels, manaur pump and some small things. I got a 200 amp disconnect for me to hook up my house to the PTO generator I got last spring

A 706 with cobbled (and cracked) frame rails with a 1256 engine and no fenders sold for 2 grand

Yes, I have a hard time not going to the consignment sale, even if just for a day off

Ahem. You'd better reconsider that. Think "Diamond T."

Them Maxxums are not any thing like the 5100/5200 generation.  Thats a UK built one.  They have bad rep here, but very few out there.  Guess trans and elec gremlins.  That being said for 9000 if under 5k hrs id of got it for doing bedding, some solids spreading, and moving irrigation
