Do we need to send Tony straws hidden in old tractors?

Tony: gotta remove the rear tire on my new tractor.

Carol; you were done buying tractors

T: I have my reasons

c;  well it looks nice.

T: tire guy is coming this afternoon

Carol: why it's restored and new tires

T: Danny filled tires with straws before he mounted them.

c : good I've missed my straws.

And that is how Tony became the straw king of California.

Going to paper straws would be great for the paper industry.  Heard on the news that a paper plant here is actually gearing up to produce them.  We use way too much plastic and it gets everywhere and doesnt go away.

Re: this topic I suggested to a member here off line to perform the following experiment -

For every plastic straw they use after use they then toss it out in their yard.  For the next they use a paper straw and do the same.  Repeat alternating for 3, 6, or 12 months and the quit.  Then after 6 months, 12 months they should examine said yard and see how many plastic and paper straws remain and what condition they're in?

Could be the individual has been very busy but I haven't received a reply.

Plastic takes decades to break down and unless you like living in dump you dont toss them on your lawn, you throw them in the trash and have to pay to store them forever.  At least the paper will break down.  Plastic will blow all over the neighborhood and get in the sewers and clog things up.

and like I said, the paper mill workers will thank you.

I heard once a few years back that something like 75% of $1 bills will test positive for cocaine residue.

If it was me, I’d be a little more concerned about this than plastic straws.

.They talk of wheat straws too.

$750,000 for 6(?) employees to clean human feces off the city streets and they worry about plastic straws? Is there a shortage of toilet paper in SF or California?

For that kind of money maybe they should hang up plastic bags so people can pick up their own poop like they do for their dogs.

And they claim to be the smart educated people who are wiser and more sophisticated than us country “folks” aka rednecks, aka hillbilly, aka backwoods, etc etc, at least when we used outhouses we dug a hole first

I believe in creation and not evolution but I’m starting to think the liberal populace are de-evolving into what ever someone can de-evolve into...

It is you, and yes as such, you can be more concerned about that.
