The only babe I had to fish with was my wife. Took little man on his first fishing trip this afternoon. Neighbors have a nice pond full of largemouth bass. “First Fish”

Just got back from my own fly fishing trip. Tough weather and a new river slowed us down. Limit of 7/day.

Here’s a few pics. Second pic is Grandpa with that fish some time in the 60’s I believe.  Third and Fourth are pics of the rest of that cabinet.  I don’t collect old lures but have picked up a few tha

I love wartime guns. Crappy sloppy produced guns made as fast as possible. But they all have a story to tell.

I am taking delivery of a Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 1* Savage tomorrow morning.  I have wanted one since I lusted after a neighbor's at the tender age of 7.  I bought a bayonet for one back when I was in 7th grade, and now I have a gun for it to go on.

I always liked the take down rifles.  Nambu pistols are also interesting.

This is wholesome. Most excellent. Congrats on the Enfield. I have two nice examples and one sporterized.

I always wanted a nambu. They just don't pop up a lot here.

I have an Arisaka bayonet with scabbard that my Godfather brought back from Okinawa.  He had the rifle too but had to ditch it while climbing up the cargo net on the transport ship to go home.  He had two duffel bags and the gun and knew he wouldnt make it to the top so he took the bayonet and stuck it in his seabag  He then ditched the rifle.  I wish I had it though!

They are spartan but interesting. Regular, large winter trigger guard, and baby nambu. Holsters and/or matching mags would bring extra $$$.  I used to trade a lot with an old timer in town who collected his whole life. You might go over once or twice a month and never come close to a deal on what you wanted. I couldn’t begin to tell you how much stuff I got from that guy.  Sadly, he is gone but boy did I learn some haggling skills from that man.  He loved military stuff and had examples of almost anything you could imagine.

Humpf! I just found a tight Supermatic with three barrels. I’ll trade you bills. I start breaking out in hives when things approach four figures.
