IHRunner
Not the scope that will stay on it. But it works for now. Top to bottom. Monstrum Tactical 6-24. Savage Axis 2 Precision. The budget version of their 110 precision and 110 elite. It's nestled in an MDT chassis. That's a Harris 25s bipod. Again. Won't stay on it. Shoots amazing. 22 in barrel. I'm shooting 150 grain nosler accubonds and getting sub moa at 100. Im sure I can get sub moa at 1000 with enough work. It's so good for the price. I wish it was a 24 in barrel. But I didn't want to step up to a 1200$ chassis. Or a 1900$ chassis. 750$ works lol.

This one is a heavy barrel 270. First ever production long action chassis. I remember that now!!!!!!!!!!! Yer updates are too fer apart. A .270 is abusive??? What does that thing weigh??? Man our old military guys shot 30.06 buy the hundreds!!! But I think 50 at a CMP match is enough these days!!

Bipod. And trimmings it's 13.44lbs. So that pretty much soaks up any recoil. To me it feels like firing a 30-30. But my 150grain hand loads can cause some whumpage. I've only got about 70 rounds down range so it's not perfected yet. The test scope just isn't what we need.
kevinj
At 14# ya don't wanna carry it to far!!!! I think my competition AR in .223 is around 13# too. I think the M1A is about 10#??
Sledgehammer
I should weigh my RPR. It’s a heavy beast. Great for shooting but horrible for packing.

All my other arguments fade away. I'm just like. "Rock on. Fair enough ma dewd".

I want a Light, small, fairly quiet, 75-125yd gun with more power than a .22 mag. I also liked the looks of the CZ 527 American. I normally gravitate towards function over form but I like the classic Mauser style action with detachable magazine on this one. Hoping to draw a bobcat permit this winter also and I feel like that would be a great kitty chaser. I may try calling some raccoons also for fun. I know a couple guys that have done it and say they will come to a call like a coyote during the day. oh yeah.....I ordered one a little over a week ago so there’s that.....
Sledgehammer
22-250 strikes again! Little devil was digging under the side of the barn. That’s two in 3 days. I had been mowing and went in the house for a drink. Made the shot from the kitchen window. Ranged after the fact at 72yds.
Sledgehammer
The only babe I had to fish with was my wife. Took little man on his first fishing trip this afternoon. Neighbors have a nice pond full of largemouth bass. “First Fish”

I backed the 20 foot car hauler into the pond outside my back door and on her first cast with her Barbie rod and reel, caught a small blue gill. She was thrilled and done for the day. One was enough! I was watching that and with the angle I had the concrete foundation block was directly behind the groundhog at the time of the shot. Otherwise I would not have taken it. There was an exit hole but no marks on the concrete block. The bullets really come apart well on impact so sometimes there isn’t even an exit wound. The one I got Saturday evening had no exit wound. Same ammo and gun.

Just for the record, I really do not like seeing an animal suffer. Even a pure nuisance like that. I strive for a clean kill if at all possible. I figure if someone was going to shoot me I would want the same decency. I don’t mean that to sound crude but if you think about it....

I didnt mean to imply the critter is in distress. I even said "post mortem" Distress Splatter is an actual term for any type of fluid that is thrown around either alive or dead. Most animals. Including humans. Will continue to twitch after death. Its just natural. Nerves continue to fire and muscles contract wildly. Im sorry if you thought i was taking aim at your treatment of animals.
