Spyderco's least expensive fixed blade. The ol Bow River. Beautiful little knife.

Does it get a torture test or just use while running around in the countryside?  I recently purchased a Bark River knife that was a Bob Loveless design. I should have just made one in that style but thought I would give them a chance. I have others that I will probably favor but have yet to really put it to any test.

Never owned a spyderco before. Didn’t care for the blade shape of the folders and never looked at the fixed blades.  Nothing wrong with them though. A lot of guys love them.  Always preferred benchmade myself for a folder. For a fixed blade out walking or fishing I tend to like more of a bushcraft or kephart style knife.

What steel is that spyderco made of?

This is the budget 8cr13mov im sure. The Chinese version of our AUS steels. This is a phil wilson edition. His previous models have been in cpm steels and much higher end knives. He wanted one that was affordable. Im left handed to the spyderco hole has always been good to me

Some sort of rattler?  People claim there are timber rattlers not far away but I’ve never seen one.

Standard prairie rattler. Bout 3 ft long. Pretty average. But damn they're scary when you step on em

I was stammering and squeaking for a gun lol. I've always said I'm no tough guy. Sneks. Danger noodles. Legless lizards. Whatever. They spook me lol.

Same color pattern we have out  here. Can be grass green in spring to black later in the year as everything is yellow or brown. Generally only take 1/10 of a second to know it a rattler. They claim most here are hybrid, but the only good rattlesnake is a dead one.

Where is the trophy. Most here are broken by the time they get a inch long.

Honest question....Does the tactical do-rag keep you cooler or make things warmer since it’s around your neck?  I know at work I’ve been wearing mask that goes around my whole neck and I find it to be hot.

It wasn’t that hot here today but I did wait out a ground hog I had been tailing for a few weeks today. I sweat through just sitting there in the hay field. He won’t be digging around the bridge wing walls any more. The old Remington VLSF 22-250 got another one from around 100yds. It likes 55gr Sierra BTHPs.

Lol these are from a vacation in tel aviv. Yeah. They make you hotter. But that isnt the reason for wearing them. We have ultra fine dust and no cloud cover. Ive had several months of health issues lately. So im taking a bit better care of myself. The style i wear is a Shemagh. Its ultra thin. But it does its job

We get a lot of dust storms and i probably wont survive sucking up half the desert this time lol.

Fair enough. I knew they had a name that started with “S” but couldn’t remember or spell it. Nothing wrong with keeping the dust out. Gotta take care of yourself first. ????

For chure ma dewd. The shirt is a Tru spec 1/4 zip. Adore that ting. Arms don't breathe at all. But the torso is dope. Between dying of heat stroke and choking on dirt we can sometimes get a few hours of shooting in before my brain explodes.

Do you hand load your 22-250?
