Many. Two rv parks. John Martin has a campground. Plus free rustic ones.

Thanks. Slow traffic just East of there on our way here. Got to make our annual Smokey Mountain Knife works stop and take a peek in the Lodge cast iron outlet.  After that we be West bound and down (ok maybe a little North too) ?.

Here is a weird question about your neck of the woods. Why so many Dollar General stores?  We have had one at home forever and a lot of little towns at home have one. Here you couldn’t swing a dead cat without hitting a DG store. They are handy no doubt but we got curious and did a Google search and there were 20 DG stores within 10 miles of the house we rented and it’s in the country.

Can't answer that, Todd.  Used to, there was a DG in every little town, like you said.  That started changing about 10 years ago, when DG started building stores like there's no tomorrow.  Now, they put them on the highway near turnoffs to rural communities.  Every one of those you saw, nearby would be a road leading back into the sticks, where there is a rural community.  For example, to get to our DG, we go 8 miles out the main road (basically one way in or out where I live), then a mile down the highway.  So it services a couple communities plus some campgrounds out by the lake.

Amazing color on that one.

Tanks buddy. It's from a set of small ponds that you have to hike back into. Water is about 10ft of visibility and 17ft deep total. And apparently it grows giant beautiful bluegill.

Took little man fishing. I was hoping for some nice bluegill. He started with a bass but we ended up with several bluegill. Kept enough for a meal. They were pretty nice size wise. Had to fight a snake to keep them. He tried to take possession of my fish basket. Bad idea sir.... I keep about one mess every couple years from this pond so I wasn’t about to give them up to a snake.

Nice looking haul, Nash!!! You will have to bring your dad and mom over here for some bass, bluegill, cat, and maybe even a few frog legs.

Momma would be all over frog legs. That has long been one of here favorites. I like them but for me the “juice ain’t worth the squeeze” so to speak. I will collect a batch for here once in a while though.
